What I played (May 16-June 12)
It's been a while since I've done one of these, but nonreview games I've managed to sneak in include "Outland" and "Dragon Quest IX." I've also been spending time with old favorites "Bulletstorm" and "Portal 2."

Publishers largely sat back during E3 week, with "Infamous 2" being the lone must-play release.
My last day at E3 included meetings with Warner Bros., D3 Publisher, Namco Bandai, Sony, THQ, Square Enix and 2K Marin.
Some quick thoughts on Nintendo's press conference, Atlus' erotic adventure/puzzle game "Catherine," Ubisoft's "Rayman Origins" and four big titles from EA.
On Monday, Sony named and priced its new handheld gaming device, and publishers showed off about a bazillion games. And E3 hasn't even started yet.
If you don't think too hard about the moral implications of its ridiculous premise, small sessions of "Motorstorm Apocalypse" are an optimal way to unwind after plodding around in "L.A. Noire's" police cruisers.
Slow down everybody. “Call of Duty Elite” is not a sign of the apocalypse. If it’s done right, Activision's new social networking service will combine the vapid addictiveness of social networking sites with the smack-talking fun of online first-person shooters.
With the exception of off-road racing title "Dirt 3," it's a pretty slow week.
