Upcoming Kinect horror game "Rise of Nightmares" tasks an American tourist with rescuing his wife and escaping the clutches of a torture-happy scientist.
"Child of Eden's" short play time and "'Duck Hunt'-goes-to-a-rave" aesthetic means the game won't appeal to everyone, but anyone with an Xbox 360 and Kinect owes it to themselves to at least rent the game.
"Dead Island's" 5-minute E3 demo doesn't live up to its initial, emotionally engaging trailer, but its visceral combat and battles with flesh-eating zombies in the harsh tropical sun show plenty of promise.
At E3, Riot Games, maker of the immensely popular, free-to-play arena battle game "League of Legends," showed off three upcoming champions and a new spectator mode. If you're a fan and curious about how the spectator mode will look when it releases later this year, you can actually see it in action a bit today in a live stream of "LoL's" Season One championship in Sweden. It gets started at 3 p.m. PDT.
With "Duke Nukem Forever," "Alice: Madness Returns" and "Child of Eden" all hitting this week, we're getting three sequels to games that are more than 9 years old. I'm only recommending two of those sequels, however.
"Duke Nukem Forever's" biggest accomplishment is that, after 14 years, it's finished and gamers can play it. It's also the new first answer to the question, "Why can't I find a girlfriend who'll play video games with me?"
Here's a quick look at a pair of upcoming downloadable games from UTV Ignition: "Magical Drop V" and "Mercury Hg."
