It's another slow week for new games, but "World of Warcraft" has gone free-to-play up to level 20, and there are sales everywhere.
A roadtrip to a most unusual underworld, "Shadows of the Damned" drips with style, wit and a cracking soundtrack, yet it sadly plays a lot like a lot of games that have come before it.
"Magic: The Gathering" and "Shadows of the Damned" dominated my week.
Here’s a look at what’s looking good this weekend, with an emphasis on new releases, sales or games that are otherwise relevant.
Upcoming Kinect horror game "Rise of Nightmares" tasks an American tourist with rescuing his wife and escaping the clutches of a torture-happy scientist.
"Child of Eden's" short play time and "'Duck Hunt'-goes-to-a-rave" aesthetic means the game won't appeal to everyone, but anyone with an Xbox 360 and Kinect owes it to themselves to at least rent the game.
"Dead Island's" 5-minute E3 demo doesn't live up to its initial, emotionally engaging trailer, but its visceral combat and battles with flesh-eating zombies in the harsh tropical sun show plenty of promise.
With "Duke Nukem Forever," "Alice: Madness Returns" and "Child of Eden" all hitting this week, we're getting three sequels to games that are more than 9 years old. I'm only recommending two of those sequels, however.
