A much longer version of the holiday gift guide that recently ran in The Press Democrat features plenty of suggestions for all sorts of gamers.
Twisted Pixel's whimsical Western about an undead cowboy seeking vengeance is a smartly written, creative tour de force for Microsoft's Kinect. But imprecise controls and a story that can be finished in four hours or so might mean some players balk at the $40 price tag.
Upcoming Kinect horror game "Rise of Nightmares" tasks an American tourist with rescuing his wife and escaping the clutches of a torture-happy scientist.
So far, Kinect mostly has a bunch of dance and exercise games. Twisted Pixel hopes to help change that with the Gunstringer, a downloadable shoot-'em-up due out this spring.
