Medal of Honor preview

During a recent preview event, I disregarded the controversy over "Medal of Honor's" multiplayer modes, in which some players take on the role of the Taliban fighting U.S. forces. Instead, I made a beeline for two levels from the single-player campaign, hoping the developers didn't miss a chance to make me see the war in Afghanistan, and war in general, in a new light.

Recapping Monday at E3

During what I'm going to call Day 0 at E3, I watched Electronic Arts and Ubisoft preview a couple of dozen upcoming titles for the Wii, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. But the real buzz at the show was from Microsoft's morning press conference. A raging headache and only two hours' sleep on Sunday night kept me from Activision's bash at the Staples Center.
