A shortage of both free time on my part and cool new releases on the part of the video game industry kept me from writing a What to Play last week. So this weekend's WtP includes a couple of week-old titles. Still, this weekend is all about "Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty" for anyone with a PC that can run it.

If I don't include what I played at E3, there's not much to talk about, so I'll quickly run down everything I played at the show in a big giant list at the end.
"Super Mario Galaxy 2" continued to rule my life this week, but I found time for a few other games, too.

With its movielike pacing and streamlined gameplay, "Final Fantasy XIII" aims to be a role-playing game for folks intimidated by massive, wide-open game worlds and complex combat systems. But should such experiments have come in a game with such a large Roman numeral at the end of its title, and all of the expectations a "XIII" conveys?

With a paucity of new releases this week, it's a great time to go back and play those old Xbox games, since Microsoft is ending online support for "Halo 2," Crimson Skies" and a host of older games on Thursday. Plus, the first two "Borderlands" add-ons show up on a retail disc, and "Geometry Wars 2" is on sale.
