When I reviewed “Bayonetta” last week, I made sure to point out that, while the $60, M-rated game is available for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, those who’d played both versions of the game reported that the PS3 version was the less polished version. I advised gamers who owned only a PS3 but wanted to play the title to consider waiting for the inevitable patch that addressed these shortcomings.

Well, the first patch to the PS3 version of “Bayonetta” has arrived, and while it doesn’t address all of the game’s shortcomings on the PS3, it allows owners of Sony’s console to install the game to their console’s hard drive, which should greatly reduce painstakingly long load times.
